Why Manufacturers Choose Us

Insurance that keeps up with the floor

Manufacturing coverage has to follow the product and the process, not a schedule written three years ago.

Written for what you make.

Products and completed operations coverage set to the limits your buyers actually require.

Built around your process.

Coverage based on your equipment, your materials, and how the floor really runs.

Local help through the audit.

Schedules, values, and supply agreement certificates handled by a team you can reach.

Who We Work With

Built for manufacturers of all kinds

That same practical approach works across a wide range of processes, from small job shops to plants running multiple lines and shifts.

The Manufacturing Program

Coverage manufacturers carry

Four coverages do the heavy lifting on nearly every manufacturing program. The rest get added as operations grow into them.

Core Coverage

Commercial property

Building, equipment, stock, and the income the floor generates.

General & products liability

What you make, after it ships, at the limits your buyers require.

Workers' compensation

Machine operators, material handlers, and your largest lever on cost.

Commercial auto

Delivery trucks, yard equipment, and sales fleet.

Additional Coverage

Environmental & pollution

Solvents, coatings, and discharge under permit.

Cyber liability

Production systems, customer data, and connected equipment.

Commercial umbrella

The limits national buyers write into supply agreements.

Inland marine

Goods in transit and equipment away from the plant.

Know Before You Ship

Make sure your coverage matches the agreement

Buyers and permits both set requirements, and either one can hold up a shipment if the coverage behind it does not match.

Products liability and additional insured status.

Large buyers set limits, require additional insured status, and often ask for primary and noncontributory wording before the first purchase order.

Business income and equipment values.

Property limits set from outdated schedules leave the largest gap on most manufacturing programs, because downtime usually costs more than the machine.

Environmental obligations under permit.

Storage, discharge, and handling requirements under DEC permits create exposure that general liability excludes.

Understanding Your Premium

What actually moves your insurance cost

Manufacturing premiums are built from what you make and how you make it. The more accurately those details are represented, the easier it is to make sure you are paying for the right risk.

Operations and materials

What runs on the floor, and what it is made from, sets much of the rate.

Payroll and class codes

What operators actually do sets the workers' compensation base.

Claims and experience mod

Your loss record against manufacturers like you, carried between carriers.

Type and distribution

Where the product ends up matters as much as what it is.

Values and business income

Replacement cost on equipment plus what the floor earns while it is down.

Construction and protection

Sprinklers, alarms, and building class move the property rate directly.

Before You Shop Carriers

A better premium often starts with better information.

We review classifications, equipment schedules, business income figures, product descriptions, and supply agreement requirements before assuming the answer is simply another carrier.

Good To Know

Municipalities insurance FAQs

Quick answers to common questions from New York manufacturers.
At minimum: commercial property on building, equipment, and stock, general liability including products coverage, workers’ compensation and DBL, and commercial auto. Most manufacturers add business income, environmental, and the umbrella limits their buyers require.
Products and completed operations coverage sits inside the general liability policy, but the limits and any recall exposure need to be set deliberately rather than assumed.
It replaces the earnings you lose while the floor is down after a covered loss. For most manufacturers it is the largest number on the policy and the one most often set from a figure that is years old.
Premium follows what your people actually do. Codes set when the plant ran differently are one of the most common places we find money on a review.
