Inland & Ocean Marine FAQs

Quick answers to common questions from contractors and shippers.
History. Inland marine grew out of ocean shipping coverage and kept the name. Today it simply means property in transit or away from premises, no water required.
Usually only in small amounts, if at all. Off-premises limits on property policies are notoriously thin. If your crews carry real equipment, it needs its own coverage.
High-value units are usually scheduled individually; small tools ride on a blanket limit. Most contractors use both, and we will structure the split so a claim never surprises you.
Premium follows the values and how far they travel. Request a quote with your equipment list and we will price the schedule.
